Letters to family

Dear sweet Maya!
Words can’t describe the sorrow I feel with you as you miss your mommy. She was incredibly special and you remind me of her so much. She was very talented in so many ways, but I think the biggest talent of all was the ability to relate to people.
It was so natural for her and it made it so easy to be her friend. At such an early age as 14, she was gripped of Jesus, her Savior. I can still picture her standing in the meetings with her hand held high and professing her hope, she had for her life.
It was always so edifying and the times she played in the meetings that’s when the hall would be filled with her music.
So powerful. She was one of my first and dearest friends from Detroit and was absolutely special. As she sensed her time on this earth was drawing to a close, she had asked me to keep an eye on you and Kyle and I will honor my promise. If you ever need someone to talk to, please feel free. I am here to listen and to pray for you dear friend.
Thank you for the time back in Hawaii. Z and I still talk about it often and your beautiful singing and dancing engraved in our memories. But also the recent visit (even though it was a couple of years back now) and your gifts for olivia’s guinea pigs.
So sweet I pray that God will be near to you and He will become your Rock in life as you navigate through difficult and happy times ahead, just as your mommy has done all of her life.
She was comforted by Jesus even though it wasn’t easy for her. She always sensed His mighty Hand and His word was her shield and her faith was strong. Follow your mom’s example with all of your heart. Your life will be rich and your heart will be Happy. I hope to see you someday soon my precious girl. You are loved and cared for greatly.
God has given you a dad who follows Jesus and that will be your comfort also.
God bless you dear friend.
Much love and prayers for all of you,

your friend Svetlana

Dear Kyle!
I was so sad to hear that your dear mom is no longer on this earth.
She was an incredible person. With a smile that could light up the room and a heart that loved deeply and unconditionally.
I met her when she was 14 back in Salem Oregon. She played the piano like no one else I have ever seen and had a great singing voice.
I also loved to hear her testimonies in the meetings. Oh, how she loved Jesus! She loved Him with all of her heart. And she loved people.
She could easily strike a conversation and it was always with care.
I hope you too can follow her example and will have the same love for Jesus as your mom. She had asked me to keep an eye on you and Maya and to pray for both of you and I will honor my promise and pray that God will keep you and help you to go through this difficult time and for the future Thanks Kyle for good memories in Hawaii. That was such a special time with your family and your mom especially. I had wished that I could have visited with her before she went home to her eternal dwelling in heaven but covid prevented that, but I am so glad you had some time with her back in March. Live your life as wholehearted as your precious mama and you will be a happy man. God bless you dear Kyle. You’re loved and God has given you a dad who too loves Jesus. That is a comfort. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Keep your heart soft and ears open for the word of God. That will be the best inheritance in life.
Much love and prayers dear friend.
Hope to see you someday
.
